Circa 1880
The rectangular top with a foliate carved fore edge above two open bookcase sections, each flanked by pilasters which are each carved in their own unique pattern.
Each bookcase with two carved front adjustable shelves, held in place by removable pegs, all sitting on a carved enclosed plinth base.
This is in good condition structurally, there is some minor wear and tare consistent wth age. It also has the original tacks still in place that held the dust cover to protect the books.
An absolutely wonderful piece, that would be perfect for a narrow hallway due to its narrow depth.
