This great Kokeshi doll measures in at 25cm in height. She is patterned with hand-painted bold blossom. On the base you’ll find Japanese script. She would look fantastic as a single ornament or partnered with other Kokeshi dolls.
Kokeshi are Japanese dolls from the Tohoku region in Northern Japan. These handmade wooden dolls have a colourful history. They were traditionally made as guardians of children but later became popular amongst collectors.
